It seems life has brought me to a crossroads of sorts.  I broke down for a second time at work today (about work stress).  It's getting to be too much.  I've sat back and analyzed why I'm reacting the way I am, though and everything makes sense in that accord.  But.. I'm in, "Something needs to change and change fast because I'm going to explode and go mental if it doesn't change soon" mode.  Change at work, change work PLACES.  I don't know.  I haven't felt like this in years (3, to be exact) and I don't like it because I'm not feeling in control.  The universe (and my body) is telling me something needs to change.  Quickly.  Some things just... don't make sense (when I'm sure they're in perfect sense, I'm just too emotional to see it).  I feel like I need to leave my job quickly, but that's not realistic as there's no other job waiting for me.

Sorry, I'm babbling.

I have a LOT to catch you up on (a weekend at CZ's farm - so much fun, Easter weekend at church and all our singing - and guests! ;), health - good stuff).  So stay tuned.  I'm hoping to write more tomorrow.  Hope everyone is keeping well :)

Another One..

Add this to the hymns; it's being sung tonight. Mind the guy singing in parts - we won't have that, just the choir.

Stay With Me

Later Edit: I apologize, we do have that extra voice, I forgot.  And I don't mean to boast, but the lady who sings ours is so fantastic, it doesn't do justice what you hear here.  I thought I would fix this before my church people had my head for not mentioning :)

Easter Is Coming!

... and that means a lot of time at church. I just came back from choir practice.

We've got some fantastic hymns coming; Lent & Easter is so good for that.  We're singing the Hallelujah again (remember the Hallelujah?) Easter Sunday morning (I love this video of it; the singers drive me nuts, they barely move (which is proper) but Andre Rieu is like, the best conductor evar).  Can't go wrong with the Hallelujah :)  Another one I want to introduce to you is Lacrymosa, we're singing it Good Friday service.  I searched YouTube high and low and I like this version the best; it's clear and you get a good 'feel' for it.  I don't quite sing it great, but I really do enjoy it.  Another one is Pange, Lingua, Gloriosi; it's a Gregorian chant; really nice to listen to.  I can just smell the incense (the priest lights) whenever I hear that song.  I can't find Jean Racine's Cantique in English anywhere online so this is the link to the original French. Our tenors are fabulous with this song.

We are singing a lot of songs over the next few days, but these are the ones that really take a lot out of us (in a good way - we enjoy singing them!).  I hope you've found the time to peruse them and have enjoyed them also.

It's late, so bed time for me.  Until later!

I'm Baaaaaack....

I have returned.  Except, I haven't returned enough to write an entire blog post about what's been going on.  I just wanted to tell you I'll be writing soon.  And, God willing if I find any extra hours in the day, post a ton of pictures.

Stay tuned!

Life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful.

It is hard to let old beliefs go.  They are familiar.  We are comfortable with them and have spent years building systems and developing habits that depend on them.  Like a man who has worn eyeglasses so long that he forgets he has them on, we forget that the world looks to us the way it does because we have become used to seeing it that was through a particular set of lenses.  Today, however, we need new lenses.  And we need to throw the old ones away.

I Assure You, I'm Still Alive

Hey all.

Sorry I've been AWOL.  I've been super, super stressed lately and haven't felt much like talking.  Hence posting quotes, so you know I'm at least still alive :)

There have been work challenges, Lent challenges.  The only area I'm not having challenges with, oddly, is men (shocker, I know.  Try to contain yourself).  Things are good in that department :) :) :)

Anyways, just wanted to poke my head in.  I'll still post quotes (I think you guys like those) and maybe the odd article or two I find.  Don't be afraid to shoot me an email; I'll do my best to respond sooner than later.

Thanks.. and hope everyone had a great weekend.  Enjoy the rest of it!
